I cannot believe I have not posted this until now.

The bread shown, from the Eric Kayser on our block in Paris, is something I really miss. You can get it in a petit or grand size and they will slice it for you at the bakery if you remember to ask.

It is called Pain au Curcuma (turmeric). It is barely sweet with a very different texture than I have had before, almost smooth but then you get a bit of hazelnut and it balances out perfectly.

The other bread that is on my mind is from Du Pain et Des Idées. Called Le Pain des Amis, it is a stunning bread. A go-twice-in-two-days-even-though-it-took-30-minutes-to-get-there-bread. They make it in huge loaves, so much so that it is common to buy just a quarter of a loaf ~ but be warned you will want to buy an entire half loaf because if you get it in the afternoon it will be gone before dinner time, wayyyyyy before dinner time.
